Kitchens, baths and basements

A remodel starts with taking the room apart: cabinets, tile, fixtures and sometimes walls. Then it is rebuilt to the new layout and finished.

Interior demolition is part of what we do, so the tear-out and the rebuild come from one builder.

What affects the cost of a remodel

What moves the price

The room: its size and how much of the layout changes.

What’s behind the walls: plumbing, wiring and anything found once the room is opened.

The finishes: cabinets, tile, fixtures and surfaces you choose.

Remodel or rebuild?

When a remodel isn't enough

If every room needs work and the house itself is tired, a knockdown and rebuild can make more sense than remodeling floor by floor.

A remodel is the right call when the structure is sound and the changes are inside: a new kitchen, new baths or a finished basement. A rebuild makes sense when the problems go deeper than the finishes.

ZDE does both, so the advice isn’t tied to one kind of job. Jason will tell you honestly which way the numbers point.
